Easter Sunday

For Easter Sunday, our first Sunday in full communion with the Catholic Church, Fr Harvey offered a number of us the opportunity to serve in the 11.15am Mass. It was a joy to take part in the Mass led by Fr Michael, a Holy Ghost Father from Nigeria. He gave an uplifting homily about trusting God as not even the grave is beyond his reach and thus we need not be afraid.

Some instruments accompanied the organ in the wonderful Easter Hymns and the Lourdes Gloria, together with the singing of the Regina Coeli after the notices.

Since attending St Thomas’ we find it a blessing to be accompanied by so many other Catholics for the Masses. The Triduum was so well attended as were all the Masses today.

Standing with joy in front of the empty tomb we too make our way to the Upper Room to share the news of Easter as we wait for the Holy Spirit to lead us in His plan for the Ordinariate here in Sevenoaks.

Once again may I wish you all a blessed and joyful time as we enter the great fifty days of Easter.

Alleluia, Christ is Risen! He is risen indeed, Alleluia!
